Romanian meteorologists have issued a code yellow of heavy rain and wind for 11 counties in Romania, namely Caras-Severin, Hunedoara, Alba, Cluj, Salaj, Maramures, Bistrita-Nasaud, Botosani, Suceava, Neamt and Iasi.

The warning is valid between September 22, 11:00, and September 23, 09:00. For this period, meteorologists predict heavy rain and strong wind. The amounts of water will exceed 20-25 liters per smq, and even 50 liters per sqm in some places.

Rain is also expected between September 23, 09:00 and September 24, 06:00, in the southeast region of Romania and in the mountain areas. The amounts of rain will exceed 25 liters per sqm and the wind is expected to blow with up to 60-70 km per hour, especially in the mountains.
