Weekend comes with freezing temperatures in Bucharest
The weather will turn cold in Bucharest starting Friday, January 4, when the temperature is expected to reach a maximum of at most 1 degree Celsius at mid-day. The temperature will drop between - 6 and - 8 degrees Celsius during the night of January 4 to January 5.
Although sunny, the day of January 5 will not see temperatures higher than 1 degree Celsius. On Sunday, January 6, the weather is expected to be cloudy, with occasional snow showers and temperatures of at most -1 degree Celsius.
Overall, temperatures will drop across the country, especially in the northern part. The northwestern and central regions will see frost settling in. Light snow is expected in northern Transylvania and in the region of Maramureş.
The low temperatures are due to an Arctic outbreak across Central and Eastern Europe, between January 2 and January 6, according to Stirileprotv.ro.
