The sunny weather will start to change in Romania on Thursday afternoon, with torrential rains, storms, and even hail forecast for most of the country. The alert is valid until Saturday, May 6, 06:00.

Rainfall will exceed 15-20 liters per sqm, and can reach 40 liters per sqm in some areas, meteorologists expect.

Thursday to Friday night, torrential rain and storms will be more frequent in hilly and mountain areas, as well as in Southwest and Central Romania, according to the National Administration of Meteorology (ANM). Then, on Friday and Friday to Saturday night, it will continue to rain in hill and mountain areas, as well as in Oltenia, Transylvania, and part of Muntenia region.
