Western Union appoints new GM for Romania, Bulgaria after former GM's promotion to regional level

Money transfer company Western Union appointed Daniela Budurea to lead the Romanian and Bulgarian subsidiaries, replacing Alexandru Bădulescu, who was promoted to Regional Vice-president for the Eastern Europe and CIS with the company.

Budurea was previously group country manager with Angelo Costa Romania. Prior to that, she was an executive manager of Dollar Express Romania. She holds an MBA from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and an MA from the Economics Academy in Bucharest (ASE).

Badulescu took the new position in August last year and is currently based in Moscow. He is responsible for managing the region, across 22 countries and five offices: in Istanbul, Kiev, Moscow, Tashkent and Zagreb, according to his LinkedIn profile.
