What are the Romanians’ anxieties?
Over half of Romanians believe the country is heading in the wrong direction.
They fear a conflict in the region (18.6%), but also worry about their health (20%) and their incomes (17.5%), according to an INSCOP survey. Romanians are also scared of losing their job, price increases, and political insecurity.
Only 4.4% of the respondents fear natural calamities and even fewer people are stressed about environmental damage (1.2%).
About half of Romanians consider that their living standards are similar to last year, and 25.2% believe they live worse compared to 2014.
A third of the respondents think that their life will be the same next year whereas 28.7% believe they will live better. About 23.8% are pessimistic about next year.
