Who are the winners of Romania’s Media Music Awards?
The 2015 Media Music Awards Gala, one of the most important music events in Romania, which awarded the most successful Romanian artists and songs in the past year, gathered over 40,000 in Sibiu's central square, on September 3. Delia and Smiley were the gala's big winners.
Romanian artists Delia and Keira got five awards for their hit Pe Aripi de Vant (On the wings of the wind), including the one for Best Song in the last year. The song had the most views on YouTube last year for a Romanian song (over 25 million), and it was also considered the best featuring. Moreover, the song got the award for Best Pop, a special prize for being number 1 in local charts for the longest period of time (18 weeks), and the award for best video, reports local Agerpres. Watch the video below. Delia also got the award for Best Female act.
Smiley also got five awards for his song Oarecare (Any person): Fastest Climber (the song that went up to number 1 the fastest), Best Male Act, the most played song during summer, Kiss award, and MTV award.
Romanian singer Andra also received two awards: the Fans Like award, and the award for the most voted artist. Holograf's Dan Bittman won the award for the best rock song (for the song Si Ingerii au Demonii Lor / Angels have their own demons), Voltaj received the prize for Best Group, Andreea Balan was awarded for the Best Show, and Inna got the prize for Best Dance song, for her Diggy Down hit.
Kazibo won the award for Best Producer, and Cat Music was elected Best Label.
The show lasted more than four and a half hours. The program included several artists, such as Nicole Cherry, Maxim, DJ Sava, Bere Gratis & Sore, fly Project, What’s Up, Voltaj, and Holograf.
