Local insurance company Omniasig, part of Austria’s Vienna Insurance Group, was the insurer for the Vel Pitar bread factory in Brasov, which blew up on Thursday last week.

Six people were hurt in the explosion, one of whom died at the hospital.

Omniasig sent a team to Brasov after the explosion to assess the damages, reports Economica.net. The company said it would announce more details about this case when and if the ongoing official investigation will allow it.

The prosecutors in Brasov have started an investigation on the causes of this event.
