Winter returns to Romania: snow and blizzard all throughout the country until Saturday
Romania’s National Weather Administration ANM issued on Tuesday a code yellow warning for sleet, snow and wind for most of the country.
The notice enters into force on Thursday, March 5, at 15:00, and ends on Saturday, March 7, at 16:00. This means that in the next two days sleet, snow and strong winds will hit most of Romania, starting in the west and moving towards the east of the country.
In the mountains, a thick layer of new snow will form.
Air temperatures will fall close to zero, and even below freezing point during the nights.
