Wizz Air launches flight between Romania’s Cluj-Napoca and Munich
Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air launched on February 15 a new route between its base in Cluj-Napoca and Munich Memmingen in Germany.
The airline will operate the flights twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, for prices that start at RON 109 (EUR 24.99).
In July 2016, Wizz Air will start to operate its fifth aircraft from the base in Cluj-Napoca, the summer schedule including flights to destinations such as Alicante, Billund, Doncaster / Sheffield, and Berlin. The airline is to start operating these flights in the coming weeks, according to a statement by Cluj International Airport.
Wizz Air continued to increase its business in Romania last year as it carried some 4.5 million people to and from Romanian airports, 16% more compared to 2014.
In July, the company will open a new base in Iasi, eastern Romania.
