Wizz Air introduces four new routes from Romania's Cluj-Napoca
Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air will introduce four new external destinations from Cluj-Napoca, north-western Romania, starting July 2016. These include cities from Spain, Germany, Denmark, and UK, namely Alicante, Berlin, Billund, and Doncaster Sheffield.
The company will also expand its fleet operating from the Cluj-Napoca international airport with a fifth Airbus A320 plane, reaching 17 aircraft in Romania. Wizz Air has managed to increase its traffic by 42% since January for the routes from Cluj-Napoca.
“Cluj has been a success story for Wizz Air,” said John Stephenson, Wizz Air Executive Vice President.
The airline’s traffic rose by 20% for the routes from Romania in the first nine months of the year.
