Three workers were injured as a scaffolding collapsed on a construction site in Bucharest’s Pipera area, on Wednesday, December 16. One of the workers couldn’t be saved while the other two were taken to the hospital, according to Digi 24 news station.

The authorities are trying to determine what has caused this accident.

The three men were working on the foundation of an office building on the Dimitrie Pompeiu Boulevard, in the heart of the Pipera office district. There are several construction sites currently open in the area, as developers have accelerated their investments in the last two years.

The accident occurred on the site of the new Hermes Business Campus office compound developed by Belgian group Atenor. The contractor in charge of the work is Greek group Octagon.
