World Bank to offer assistance for Ploiesti-Brasov highway
The World Bank will assist Romania in implementing the Ploiesti-Brasov highway project, official sources told Agerpres.
Transport minister Felix Stroe, prime minister Mihai Tudose and other Romanian ministers met yesterday with the World Bank regional vice president Cyril Muller in Bucharest.
In October, Romanian and World Bank officials discussed the necessary measures to kick off this infrastructure project. They agreed to set up a coordination committee, at the level of the General Secretariat of the Government, led by deputy prime minister Ion Marcel Ciolacu, as well as an implementing unit within the Transport Ministry, responsible for the technical component, sources added.
