World Bank: Romania will post 2.9% growth this year
The World Bank estimates that the Romanian economy will grow by 2.9% this year, after an estimated increase of 2.6% in 2014, according to the institution’s recent Global Economic Prospects report.
The Bank has slightly revised downwards its 2014 economic growth forecast for Romania, to 2.6%, after it estimated a 2.7% advance in October last year.
After the slowdown from 3.5% in 2013 to 2.6% in 2014, the Romanian economy is expected to grow by 2.9% this year, followed by an advance of 3.2% in 2016 and 3.9% in 2017.
