Romanian tennis player Simona Halep, who is currently number 2 in the WTA ranking, was voted as best dressed tennis player off-court for the dress she wore at the Roland Garros players’ party at the Eiffel Tower on May 21.

The vote was part of the 2015 WTA Social Fan Favorite Winners.

Simona had five nominations in the polls made by Wtatennis.com. These included the Social Fan Favorite Player, Post of the Year, WTA Match of the Year, Best Dressed On-Court, and Best Dressed Off-Court categories.

Polish tennis player Agnieszka Radwanska, who is number 5 in the WTA ranking, was considered best-dressed on-court. She was also chosen as the Social Fan Favorite Player.

Serena Williams, the number one tennis player in the world, won the fans’ hearts with one of her social media posts that became the Social Fan Favorite Post of the Year.

After beating Garbiñe Muguruza for Wimbledon singles title, Williams wrote on Facebook: “No words can describe the feeling I have right now. ‪#‎SerenaSlam Wow this happened?? It happened in my dreams and it's happening again now!”

Simona Halep ended 2015 as the number 2 player in the WTA ranking of the best women’s tennis players in the world, her best result so far. She also won the biggest title of her career at Indian Wells, and she played the first US open semifinal.
