Romanian hydrologists have issued a code yellow flood alert for five rivers in the central, southern and eastern parts of the country, valid Thursday and Friday.

Rivers under flood alert are Tarnava Mica, Tarnava Mare, Olt and Prahova starting Thursday afternoon, and Siret and Prut starting Friday morning. The counties that might be affected by flooding are Hunedoara, Mures, Sibiu, Alba, Covasna, Brasov, Prahova, Suceava and Botosani.
