Yellow code for heat in South and West Romania this week

Meteorologists in Romania have issued a yellow code for heat for Bucharest and 14 counties South and West of the country, valid on Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures will stay between 35 and 38 degrees Celsius (95 and 100 degrees Fahrenheit). The thermal comfort index will exceed the critical threshold of 80.

The warning has been issued for the following counties: Ialomiţa, Călăraşi, Ilfov, Giurgiu, Teleorman, Olt, Dolj, Mehedinţi, Caraş-Severin, Timiş, Arad, Bihor, Alba and Hunedoara.
