“YouTube pianist” Valentina Lisitsa plays in Romania for the first time in November

Ukrainian – born pianist Valentina Lisitsa, nicknamed the “YouTube pianist” for her massive success on the video sharing platform will perform in Bucharest on November 5. Scheduled to take place on the Romanian Athenaeum stage, the concert, Lisitsa's first in Romania, according to the organizers, will include six of Rahmaninov's Preludes, eight of Chopin's Nocturnes, Beethoven’s Apassionata, and Liszt's Totentanz.

With over 60 million visualisations on her Youtube channel in the beginning of 2013, Lisitsa, also nicknamed “Rahmaninov's offspring” performed in front of 8,000 at Royal Albert Hall in London last year.

Tickets for the show in Bucharest are available online at Eventim.ro, as well as in Germanos, Orange, Vodafone, Domo, Humanitas and Cărturești stores.

The Ukrainian pianist who now lives in New York has had several unconventional performances so far, including taking part in the The Yellow Lounge project to bring classical music to night clubs, and street shows in Paris and London on the so-called 'Street pianos'.
