3TS Capital Partners raises new fund for Romanian companies in IT, media, telecom
Investment company 3TS Capital Partners will launch a EUR 30 million fund which will invest in small and medium enterprises in the IT, media and telecom. The company has attracted the European Investment Fund, which will contribute with 80 percent of the new fund, but not more than EUR 17.2 million. The rest will come from other investors on the Romanian market, including private pension funds and regional banks, according to Mihai Sfintescu, partner and investment director with 3TS Capital Partners, quoted by Ziarul Financiar.
The new fund will invest in small and medium enterprises, with a minimum amount of EUR 150,000 – EUR 200,000, which could go up to EUR 1.5 million to EUR 2 million per project. The fund is already in discussions with five companies, two of which would require around EUR 2 million in investments each.
One of these firms is Avangate, which supplies software electronic distribution solutions and services, a company controlled by Romanian investor Radu Georgescu. 3TS Cisco Fund took a minority share package in this company in February this year.
