Accor opens ibis Styles hotel close to Bucharest airport
Leading hospitality group Accor opened on May 15 an ibis Styles hotel close to the Henri Coanda International Airport in Otopeni, Bucharest's main one. This is the fifth ibis Styles opening in Romania and the third in the capital city.
The new property is an investment by Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saif Al Nahyan, former chairman of Etihad Airways and founder of ABS Holdings. It will operate through a management agreement with partner and investor Liwa Properties SRL., a subsidiary of ABS Holdings.
The new ibis Styles hotel is located roughly 800 m away from the Henri Coanda Airport. It has 84 guest rooms, a bar, a restaurant, and a parking lot. Also, it is pet-friendly and offers free airport shuttle upon request.
"The theme of the hotel is a tribute to its owner's love of flying. Investing in an aviation-inspired hotel is the reflection of the Sheik's lifelong passion, and it brings to life an exciting story about exploring new horizons," reads the press release.
Accor is a leading hospitality group offering experiences across more than 110 countries in 5,400 properties, 10,000 food & beverage venues, wellness facilities, or flexible workspaces. It comprises more than 40 hotel brands.
Founded in 1967, Accor SA is headquartered in France and is publicly listed on Euronext Paris and the OTC Market in the United States.
