A&D Pharma, the largest pharmaceutical group in Romania, recorded a turnover of RON 4.7 billion (over EUR 1 billion) in 2013, up 6.7 percent against the previous year. Its distributor Mediplus and Sensiblu drugstores recorded higher sales last year, while the marketing division posted a decline, reports local Ziarul Financiar.

In 2012, the group posted sales of RON 4.44 billion (over EUR 990 million). However, Mediplus Exim recorded a profit of RON 16 million (EUR 3.6 million) last year, down 74 percent year-on-year.

The Sensiblu drugstores had higher sales last year, but still recorded losses of RON 38.9 million, or some EUR 8.8 million. However, the value of losses was 39 percent lower compared to the previous year.

A&D Pharma was founded in 1994 and also operates a marketing & sales division, with activities both on the local market and in other countries in the region.
