02 December 2010

Airline traffic on the two Bucharest airports, Otopeni and Baneasa was re-started on Thursday morning, with all flights on these airports operated normally, according to the Otopeni airport spokesman Valentin Iordache.

“The traffic has been re-established. The two airports in Bucharst operate normally. There could be delays due to the rotation of airplanes from last night's flights. There are 30 minutes delays on the morning flights. At this hour (09.00 hours), there are all the premises for a normal traffic,” said Iordache.

Flights were delayed and even canceled yesterday, on December 1, when Bucharest saw a rare meteorological phenomenon, the freezing rain. Tarom canceled all its 47 flights during the day. On Thursday morning, Tarom flights got off the ground from the Otopeni airport with 20 to 30 minutes delay. Check the timetable for the Otopeni airport here.
