Airport in northern Romania invests EUR 14 mln in new runways
The airport in Baia Mare, northern Romania, has started a tender for a EUR 14.6 million contract (without VAT) to build new runways.
Companies that are interested in this can submit their offers by August 31, reports local Capital.ro. The winner will have five months to build the runways for landings and take-offs, but also aircraft parking areas. It must also offer technical assistance services and specialized design services.
The construction of the Baia Mare Airport started in 1964. The airport, which is located about 10 km away from the city of Baia Mare, is controlled by the local County Council.
