AKTA group launches mobile services in Romania
AKTA group, a big independent player on the local cable TV and broadband internet market, will invest EUR 17 million in launching mobile phone services in Romania, reports local Ziarul Financiar.
The company will also launch a TV channel that will run only Romanian movies. The money will also be used to expand its current network.
The brand AKTA is active in the local market via the companies Digital Cable Systems (DCS) and AKTA Telecom. The group’s revenues exceeded EUR 52 million last year, up 16% over 2015, said Dinu Malacopol, the group’s CEO.
The mobile phone services will be run by the virtual operator MVNO. They will be available only via subscription.
The TV channel called CineMaraton will have an annual budget of EUR 1 million.
