Romanian Senate president: rotation of Government seats will take place when possible
The planned rotation of the ministries among the ruling coalition's partners in Romania "will be done when it can be done," the acting president of the Senate and deputy president of the Liberal Party (PNL), Alina Gorghiu, stated on May 30 amid teachers' strike and the emerging crisis at the Finance Ministry triggered by disappointing revenues.
The absolute priority is tackling the strike in education, she said.
Gorghiu also said that the coalition protocol is still in force, and the rotation at the governmental level "is a reality that will happen," but the most important thing is that there are no problems related to the ruling strategy and the key projects.
"It will be done when it can be done. [...] I repeat, there are a lot of students and parents who are suffering today. After the situation in the education sector is stabilized, I am sure that the political decisions will be taken as well," Alina Gorghiu said, quoted by News.ro.
"The protocol is still [in force], this rotation at the governmental level is a reality that will happen," she stated, adding that the most important thing is that there are no problems related to the ruling strategy and to the projects pledged under the national implementation of the Resilience Facility PNRR.
