German insurance group Allianz underwrote EUR 164 million worth of premiums on the general and life insurance segment in the first nine months of this year, up 7.2% compared to the EUR 147 million registered in the same period in 2013, reports local Ziarul Financiar.

General insurance operations generated premium revenues of EUR 147 million, up 8.1% from September 2013, when it amounted to EUR 136 million. Life insurance subscriptions reached EUR 17 million, a similar level to the one posted in the first nine months of the previous year.

The group’s operating profit in Romania amounted to EUR 11.4 million.
