Almost 14,000 foreign students study in Romanian universities
More than 12,000 foreign students were registered last year in Romanian universities and another 1,500 foreign students were studying in Romania via the Erasmus scholarship program, according to data from Romania’s Education Ministry.
The largest number of students came from Israel (1,521), France (1,388) and Tunisia (1,185), with Greece and Morocco coming next.
The majority of them were studying medicine in the universities in Iasi, Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca and Timisoara, data shows.
