American indie-rock duo No Age plays in Romania this April
No Age, the American indie-rock duo made of guitarist Randy Randall and drummer/singer Dean Allen will hold a concert in Bucharest in Control Club (19, Academiei St.) on April 21, starting 21,00 hours. Romanian bands The Mono Jacks and Coughy will perform in the opening.
Formed in 2005, after the collapse of hardcore punk band Wives, No Age has three studio albums: "Weirdo Rippers", "Nouns" and "Everything in Between". The band has its roots in the do-it-yourself art-punk scene in Los Angeles, with influences from The Byrds, John Cale and Husker Du, The Ramones and My Bloody Valentine, all combined with Fuzz, dream-pop punk and experimental art. More about the band.
The Bucharest-based alternative rock band The Mono Jacks, formed in 2008 by Doru Trascau (guitar, vocals) and Dorian Cazacu (drums), Florin Vasile (guitar, vocals) and Alex Voicu (bass), quickly won the audience interested in indie-rock rhythms that remind of Interpol, Editors and White Lies. More about The Mono Jacks.
Coughy is an audio-visual experiment, born of the desire to do live improvisation. Tickets for this concert can be purchased from the entrance to the club in the evening of the event, for RON 30.
