American medieval literature professor heads to Romania for six-week project

American medieval literature teacher Thomas Napierkowski of the University of Colorado, a recently-named Fulbright specialist, will start his first assignment in Romania this fall. Napierkowski, who specializes in the medieval English author of 'The Canterbury Tales', Geoffrey Chaucer, will be helping a university in Romania start its American Studies Program.

He is to focus on American literature, according to The Scribe, Colorado University's newspaper. The American teacher plans to stay six weeks in Romania, where he also wants to teach business students about American culture and language.

Napierkowski holds a BA from the University of Wisconsin and a MA and PhD from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
