Park Place, Britain’s most expensive property, was bought by an anonymous Russian billionaire, for USD 228 million, setting a new record for the most expensive house ever sold in Britain and in the world. The 300-year-old country house Park Place comes with 200 acres of land, cottages, stables and a boat house.

The property formerly belonged to the eldest son of King George II, and in 2007 was bought by businessman Michael Spink, for USD 65 million plus the renovation costs.
Park Place is set in 200 acres of parkland in the village of Remenham, Berkshire, close to the Oxfordshire border. Until 1998 it was used as a boarding school.
