German discount supermarket chain Aldi has filmed a Christmas commercial in Biertan village, located in Romania’s Transylvania region, according to local website voceatransilvaniei.ro.

However, the Romanian village is presented as a place named Julbacken, in Scandinavia. The ad, in which some of the characters even speak Romanian, follows the story of Johan who returns to his small village of Julbacken to teach his family and friends about the Perfect Aussie Christmas. Aldi is not present on the Romanian market.
