Apartment prices up 4% in Romania, with one exception
Apartment prices increased by up to 4% in the first quarter of the year in most Romanian big cities, with one significant exception, namely Cluj-Napoca.
The city has the highest apartment prices in Romania. However, prices stagnated there in the first three months of this year, according to real estate ads platform imobiliare.ro.
Following an advance of 1.1% in March, apartment prices reached an average price of EUR 1,092 per sqm at national level, up from EUR 1,080 per sqm at the end of February. By comparison, prices amounted to EUR 1,050 per sqm at the end of 2016.
In Bucharest, prices of apartments went up by 1.4% in March, from EUR 1,159 to EUR 1,175 per sqm. In Brasov, apartment prices rose by 0.8% in March from EUR 918 to EUR 925 per sqm.
As for Cluj-Napoca, apartment prices increased by only 0.1% at the end of March, from EUR 1,259 per sqm to EUR 1,260 per sqm.
