ArcelorMittal reduces production due to earthquake in Romania
Some production reductions were recorded at ArcelorMittal in Galati, Romania, following difficulties registered in the supply of electricity after the earthquake this weekend affected one of the supply lines.
However, the facilities and customers will not be affected by this reduction, according to ArcelorMittal Galati spokesman Dorian Dumitrescu, cited by local Mediafax.
In order to avoid any problem, the demolition of an old furnace, scheduled for Sunday, November 23, was also postponed.
An earthquake with the magnitude of 5.6 degrees on the Richter scale took place in the Vrancea seismic area in Romania on Saturday evening, November 22.
