Argentinian dinosaurs arrive at Grand Cosmos in Bucharest's Baneasa area this month

19 November 2013

Giant dinosaurs from Argentina and bones and fossil eggs from the mesozoic era will be on display at the new Grand Cosmos exhibition centre in Bucharest later this month.

The centre will be inaugurated on November 20 at Baneasa Shopping City in northern Bucharest. The first exhibition in this centre will showcase reconstructions of dinosaurs, as well as real bones and fossil eggs. The exhibition will be open for three months, until February 2014.

The exibition will include Panphagia Protos, a 228-million old dinosaur, and Austroraptor, whose skeleton dates back 70 million years, and which is unique in the world. Argentina has been the home of important fossil discoveries in recent years. In the 90s, the remains of a T-Rex were found in Argentina, and the fossil is still the largest carnivore ever found.

Two other exhibitions will follow in 2014: Robot Zoo, followed by Planet Shark. Entry tickets are RON 15 during the week between 10:00 and 17:00 and RON 21 between 17:00 and 22:00, and RON 24 during weekends. Children under 3 enter for free.

Grand Cosmos is a project of Grand Entertainment, a division of Baneasa Developments, which runs the Baneasa Shopping City.
