Ariston expects EUR 33 mln turnover from heating system sales in Romania

27 September 2010

Heating and hot water products company Ariston Thermo Romania hopes to reach EUR 33 million in turnover for 2010, almost double the turnover it posted last year, the company has announced.

“Around 90 percent of the Romanian market for heating systems is made of first time buyers, out of which 75 percent have disconnected from the centralized heating system. With compliacted approvals and the bureaucratic part of this process in most of cities, the acquisition and the actual installation of the apartment heating system is delayed for the autumn months,” said Cătălin Drăguleanu, head of sales for Ariston Thermo România.

The company expects the biggest volume of heating system sales to come from the country areas where the state-fueled centralized heating has seen financial problems, such as Transylvania or the central area of Romania.

The company expects to reach a volume of 50,000 heating system units sold by the end of the year, up on the 29,000 sold last year.

Ariston Thermo România is a subsidiary of Italian Ariston Thermo Group.
