Auchan Retail Romania, the subsidiary of the French group Auchan, has taken over the OK Supermarket local network. This included three stores in Bucharest and vicinity, according to the company’s Facebook page, reports local Ziarul Financiar.

The Farr family owns and runs the OK Supermarket stores via the Farr Group company.

Auchan has already started remodeling the shops. The first two stores will be re-opened this week and the third one next Monday. The French group will rename them under My Auchan, its proximity segment brand. The transaction also involves transferring the employees.

Auchan Retail Romania has opened its first My Auchan proximity stores in partnership with Petrom this year. Auchan Romania currently runs 33 hypermarkets and 4 My Auchan proximity stores, all of which located in Petrom gas stations.
