Automotive company Continental to employ 1,000 people in Romania this year
German automotive manufacturing company Continental plans to further expand its workforce by around 7,000 people this year, out of which 1,000 will be hired in Romania.
“The new 1,000 team members of Continental Romania may choose the location they want: Timisoara, Sibiu, Iasi, Brasov, Nadab or Carei,” according to representatives of the company, quoted by local Wall-street.ro.
The company wants to employ software and hardware engineers, mechanics, technicians, or electricians.
Last year, Continental created some 1,500 jobs in Romania.
The company has invested a total of EUR 830 million locally by the end of 2013. In Romania, it owns seven production units and three research and development centers. At the end of last year, the company had over 13,000 employees in Romania.
