Avenor expands with Cambridge accredited high school to be opened in Bucharest next year
Avenor College, previously known as Little London School, will open a Cambridge accredited high school in September 2015, in the 4,300 sqm campus inaugurated in autumn last year in Northern Bucharest.
The new high school will follow the British Cambridge curriculum, according to Cambridge International Examinations standards, with teaching in English.
“Besides the strictly academic part, the courses will also target the development of the students’ business skills, such as: entrepreneurial thinking, initiative and involvement, decision making, creating and maintaining personal and professional relationships,” said Diana Segarceanu, executive director Avenor College.
The average costs for following the high school courses will be between EUR 8,000 and EUR 10,000 per year, but there will also be a scholarship system.
The admission will be made based on a portfolio that should include the evidence of good academic results during secondary school, the proof that the student speaks fluent English (at least First Certificate in English), as well as other results to show participation in other extra-curricular activities, volunteering and social involvement.
The Little London School became Avenor College following a rebranding process started in spring 2013.
