The average net wage in Romania was of RON 1,743 (some EUR 394) in November last year, up by RON 38 (EUR 8.5) or 2.2% compared to October, according to the latest data released by the National Statistics Institute INS.

When compared to November 2013, the average net salary increased by 5.6%.

The highest average net earnings were registered in the crude oil and natural gas extraction sector – RON 4,166 (around EUR 942), while the lowest were reported in hotels and restaurants – RON 1,033 (over EUR 230).

In November 2014, most economic sectors registered increases in average net earnings, compared to October 2014.
