Average wage in Romania, up by 0.7%
The gross average wage in Romania increased by 0.7% in June compared to the previous month, to RON 1,818 (EUR 412).
The highest values were recorded in oil and natural gas extraction (over EUR 1,100), whereas the lowest earnings were found in hotels and restaurants (EUR 234), according to the National Statistics Institute (INS).
The biggest increases in average earnings were reported in the production of beverages (16.5%) and in the manufacturing of computers, electronic products or cars (10-14.5%). The extraction of oil and natural gases posted the biggest drop in average earnings, amounting to 23.1%.
