The Prince Crab ballet premieres on June 18 at the Bucharest Children’s Opera, the last performance of the 2016-2017 season.

The show is the result of a collaboration with the Jaqueline Ballet School and will see 60 children aged 3 to 10 perform. It tells the story of a prince charmed by a fairy into becoming a crab, who can become a human gain only through the sacrifice of a girl who will love him unconditionally. It is the second collaboration between the two institutions, after the Beautiful Vasilisa ballet.

Over 90,000 children and parents attended the events and performances organized by the Bucharest Children’s Opera between October 2016 and June 2017, the opera house said. It welcomes a public of over 10,000 monthly.

The performance starts at 18:00. Tickets can be purchased at bilete.ro or at the tickets office of the opera.
