Banking, IT, pharma bring highest wages in Romania
Employees of IT, banking and pharma companies have the highest wages in Romania, but the difference in salary between a middle position and top management is very high, according to recruitment company Trenkwalder.
In Bucharest, the wages offered are 30 percent more than the national average, according to a statement from Trenkwalder.
A software programmer-be it a developer, team leader, project manager or software architect- is recruited with a salary of EUR 1,500-2,000 per month. For management positions, the salary is up to EUR 5,000.
“A salary for a person in banking top management can reach between EUR 100,000 and EUR 1 million per year of more, without taking into account the bonuses and benefits that these people receive,” said Bogdan Florea, general manager of Trenkwalder.
In the pharma field, the wages of a sales representative or clinical associates are around EUR 1,000 per month. Other big salaries are found in air transport, auditing, telecommunications and the tobacco industry.
Salaries differ in the rest of Romania. In the south wages are 20 percent lower than in center-west area ,where the best paid jobs are in banking and the auto industry. The east has the smallest wages in the country.
