Farmache was The BSE Chief Executive from 1995 until becoming president in 2008, and was re-elected president in 2010. He is now running for another mandate.

Lucian Anghel has been working with BCR since 1997 and is now chief economist and executive director of the strategy and development division with the bank.

The Bucharest Stock Exchange will select new members of the board and a new president on January 9, at its shareholders' meeting. The Bucharest Stock Exchange is owned by brokerage companies as well as institutional investors – like foreign investment funds, pension funds and SIFs.
