Romanian baby product retailer Bebe Tei, close to opening a 2,000 sqm store in Bucharest
Romanian baby product retailer Bebe Tei will open a 2,000 sqm mega-store in Sun Plaza shopping center in southern Bucharest, in August this year. The company is currently working on setting up the new store, which will be one of the biggest in the local market and will serve one of the most crowded residential areas in Bucharest.
The new store will come with a wider range of products as well as services dedicated to parents’ needs.
Besides the child care products that Bebe Tei currently sells in its shop in Lacul Tei Boulevard, in Bucharest, the new store will include a drugstore and an area with bio products for babies, according to Bebe Tei’s representatives. The company’s concept is to offer a wide array of products in the same place, be it in its physical shops or in its online store.
Bebe Tei is a local business developed by Romanian entrepreneurs. The retailer developed part of a group which also includes Farmacia Tei, one of the biggest individual drugstores in Romania.
The company that holds the brand Bebe Tei, which is managed and co-owned by Romanian entrepreneur Irina Ciubotaru, had sales of almost EUR 5 million in 2014. The company currently operates one physical shop, located in two villas in Lacul Tei Boulevard, and an online shop.
Bebe Tei also opened a supermarket in a shopping center in Militari, in western Bucharest, two years ago, which now operates under the brand Bebe Supermarket Militari and has a different shareholding structure.
