Hotel in Cluj county to rebrand as Hampton by Hilton
The Beliș-Fântânele Hotel in Cluj county is set to be converted into a Hampton by Hilton and reopen in 2025 after extensive renovation. Local group Transilvania Trek said that it signed a franchise contract with the international chain Hilton Worldwide for this rebranding.
Transilvania Trek took over the Beliș-Fântânele tourist complex from UNITA Turism in March this year. The hotel is located on the shores of Fântânele Lake, in the area of the Apuseni National Park.
The current hotel facilities will go through a complete renovation process and will return to the market in the fall of 2025 under the name Hampton by Hilton Beliș-Fântânele, offering guests 70 rooms and facilities specific to the international brand.
“The signing of this contract validates the tourist potential of the Beliș-Fântânele area and represents an important pillar in our efforts to revitalize and expand the facilities of the resort on the shores of Fântânele Lake,” said Andreea Balaj, general manager of Transilvania Trek.
Hampton by Hilton Beliș-Fântânele will be the second property operated under a Hilton Worldwide brand for the Transilvania Trek group after the 2017 opening of the DoubleTree by Hilton Cluj-City Plaza hotel.
Transilvania Trek Group is a group of companies with Romanian private capital based in Cluj-Napoca, active in investments and hotel operations. It has active and developing projects in Cluj and Alba, the focus being on the reintegration into the tourist circuit of some properties with great potential, either by location (Hampton by Hilton Beliș and DoubleTree by Hilton Cluj-City Plaza) or by history (Zlatna Castle).
Fântânele resort (1,050m altitude) is located 60 km from Cluj-Napoca, between the Gilău and Vlădeasa Mountains, on the shores of the Beliș-Fântânele reservoir.
