Divertiland, the biggest waterpark in Romania, located in western Bucharest, will open a new entertainment area this year.

The new area covers 35,000 sqm and includes two heated water pools, an Olympic size pool for adults and a children’s pool with slip tape. Divertiland’s Greek shareholders have invested some EUR 3 million in the park’s expansion.

The waterpark opens its gates for the new summer season today and will officially inaugurate the new entertainment area on June 17.

Divertiland provides the biggest sand beach in Bucharest, a wave pool, and 22 waterlides. It also has 11 restaurants, 5 bars, and 3 children’s areas. The park spans over 40 hectares and can take in some 7,000 visitors per day. Divertiland CEO Alexandros Poulakis says the park is ready to welcome 180,000 visitors this season.

The access tickets for adults cost RON 40 (EUR 8.9), but children, students, and pensioners get discounts while children under 3 have free access.
