Bill in Romania: No more minors in food commercials
Romania’s National Audiovisual Council (CNA) has come up with a project that amends the current Audiovisual Code, which will be in public debate until November 3.
The main amendments target the food advertising, the right to image of the people talked about in talk shows, discriminations, and the false reality shows.
The project was published on the institution’s website on September 23. The comments can be sent via post or submitted to the institution’s office.
“The changes have resulted in two main directions, namely minor protection and the right to image,” said Radu Herjeu, CNA member, reports local Mediafax.
One of the amendments provides that acts of violence of high intensity or severity can’t be shown or broadcasted until 11 PM. Another important change is that minors can’t appear in food commercials.
The CNA members said that the industry will probably react, and the companies will submit amendments during the public debate.
