The total value of online transactions will exceed RON 175 million (EUR 37.7 million) during the Black Friday event, which takes place today in Romania, up 55% compared to last year, according to a PayU Romania analysis.

Some 30% of all Black Friday orders will be paid online.

About 60% of all the products acquired on Black Friday will be in the IT&C category, PayU Romania expects. However, there is an increasing interest in eTail products such as home & decor products, food, cosmetics or wine.

The retailers in the PayU portfolio that will participate in this year's Black Friday edition include eMAG, FashionDays, PC Garage, Altex, Elefant, Flanco, Jysk, Kika, Vivre, F64, Carrefour and iStyle.
