Black Friday returns: Romanian retailer eMag.ro announces upcoming November discount campaign

Romanian online retailer eMag will organize the fourth edition of Black Friday on November 21, the company has already announced. The retailer sold EUR 23 million worth of products during its Black Friday campaign in November last year. eMag.ro is thus the first Romanian retailer to announce its Black Friday plans this year.

Between September 23 and September 25, eMag organized another discount campaign, named The Revolution of Prices (Revolutia Preturilor). Injust  three days, the retailer registered total sales of RON 39 million (EUR 8.8 million), up 30% compared to the first edition of this event, organized in June this year. During the campaign, the traffic was double compared to a normal period, over 300,000 Romanians visiting the site at least once a day.

The large number of special offers applied to diversified products generated higher than expected sales for categories such as toys, kids & babies, auto, books & home, garden 7 pet shop. Over 7,000 packages of diapers were sold during the 3-day campaign, as well as over 11,000 books and some 15 tons of food for pets.
