New Zealander takes over as Country Head of logistics group P3’s local operations
Real estate group P3, one of the biggest owners of logistic properties in Romania, has appointed New Zealander Blake Horsley as Country Head of its Romanian operations. P3 completed the purchase of the biggest logistic park in Romania early last year and plans to expand its local business as Romania has become more important on Europe’s logistic map, according to the company’s representatives.
Blake Horseley, 31, has 12 years of experience in real estate. He started in New Zeeland and moved to Romania eight years ago. He ran the investment team within Colliers International Romania from 2008 until 2013 and after that he has been vice-president and director of acquisitions for local real estate developer Benevo Group founded by Canadian investor Michael Topolinski. He will remain a member of Benevo’s advisory board.
P3 bought the P3 Bucharest logistic park, the largest in Romania, from Austrian group CA Immo in April 2015. The park has 215,000 sqm of logistic space, which is almost fully let, and 40 hectares of land for further development. It is located west of Bucharest, close to the Bucharest-Pitesti highway.
In November 2015, P3 signed a deal to build an 81,000 sqm logistic hub for retailer Carrefour Romania.
P3 is owned by TPG Real Estate and Ivanhoé Cambridge. Active throughout Europe, P3’s portfolio of assets comprises 145 distribution centers with a total of 3 million sqm of logistic space, in 9 countries.
Blake Horsley will also run P3's operations in Bulgaria and Serbia.
