Romanian private airline Blue Air announced on Wednesday, April 13, that it would operate flights to 11 new destinations at Iasi Airport this year, including Barcelona, ​​Paris, London, Rome and Munich.

Blue Air commercial director Krassimir Tanev told a news conference in Iasi on Wednesday that the company would allocate two planes to the Iasi base in the summer and that a total of 46 flights a week would be operated from Iasi to 13 destinations, daily Adevarul reported.

It is currently possible to fly from Iasi with Blue Air to Bucharest and Dublin, but from June there will be direct connections to Barcelona, ​​Brussels, Dusseldorf, London-Luton, Munich, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Rome Fiumicino, and Turin.

Also, during the summer season, direct flights will be introduced from Iasi to Heraklion, Mykonos and Zakynthos.

According to the company's commercial director, Blue Air will allocate two more aircraft to the base in Iasi from 2023, and the number of flights will reach 25.

The interim director of Iasi airport, Romeo Vatra, stated that there are currently an average of 42 flights a day at Iasi airport and that in March the traffic reached 120,000 passengers.
